I have been in charge of the social media marketing for Logan Square's new Mexican restaurant La Victoria Barra + Cocina Mexicana for more than a year. In order to improve the restaurant's brand and increase engagement, I focus on developing and managing Instagram and TikTok accounts, organizing influencer partnerships, producing digital materials, and keeping up with the website. Establishing their Instagram and TikTok profiles was the first step in this project, which began with La Victoria's goal of reaching a local audience through an engaging digital presence. In order to maintain a consistent, enticing online identity for the restaurant, my position involves both strategic and creative activities. The objective was to increase La Victoria's social media presence, raise community awareness and draw in new customers.
This includes a comprehensive approach to social media management that prioritizes influencer collaborations, event marketing, and brand storytelling. I have been in charge of this continuing initiative for more than a year, turning the restaurant's online presence into a useful resource. La Victoria went from having no followers on Instagram and TikTok to having over 7,000 in total. These accounts are now active platforms for interacting with customers, advertising events, and introducing more people to real Mexican cuisine. In order to guarantee harmony with La Victoria's brand, I worked with the restaurant team as the social media manager, developed content, maintained influencer relationships, and produced promotional materials. I collaborated closely with influencers who helped spread the word about our message and increase the restaurant's visibility. Keeping up a constant stream of new content to keep fans interested was one difficulty. A monthly social media calendar was created to expedite content development and accommodate the restaurant's schedule by striking a balance between the necessity for daily postings and event-focused content.
Consistent audience growth, increased engagement, and deep community relationships were the results of this project. My key learnings were the importance of pre-planning content, using local influencers to establish credibility, and realizing that storytelling and images are crucial in the culinary and hospitality sectors. My love for leveraging social media to make businesses come to life was cemented by this experience, which also strengthened my abilities in content development, community involvement, and strategic planning.
